Lower fov = higher static scores. Personally, I prefer high sensitivities on low fov's because it is Shhh’ let the consolers crying about 120 fov for 2 years weaken their aim assist enjoying their precious all important 120 fov. 2" ^ This is my sensitivity setup, Hipfire sensitivity is 0. Console games around 60-80 FOV are tuned for TV distance, but causes sickness for some at monitor range. The big difference is that You are training fine motor skills, and as a result they require a specific type of training regimen to engender the best results. Experiment with I am usually using silent aim on scout and awp with a low fov like 1-2. If people say they have better aim on 4:3 it can be most likely be attributed to the better focus (smaller FOV). That way you feel like your moving fast but can still hit far targets. Sometimes even on the deagle with like 0. I would love to switch to PC sometime in the future though because better game options and the potential to surpass the skill ceiling on controller is there. I get used to low sens way better when the sens on my desktop is also relatively low. Welcome to the world of pixels/degree, the sensitivity isn't actually faster, but it sure will feel like it. Practice and Test your Aim Performance Online. 5-1 fov (all weapons with no aimlock enabled) so we can use silent with low fov without getting ow ban? id Accuracy and reaction time are both important in both games to similar degrees, but Apex has CS2 beat by a large margin on tracking. Iirc, a lot of high level quake live players use 90-110 fov because it's easier to aim on a lower fov, even though quake live allows 130 or 135 max fov. Also, if you’re on a really low end PC, and you’re looking for a performance boost, low FOV can get you an extra frame or two, but it’s not recommended. While higher otherhand gives more vision it makes things smaller and harder to see so this depends solely on person how they like it Low FOV: Targets appear larger, making them easier to hit, but you see less of the environment. I'm not gonna voice an opinion on fov since it's your personal preference. Best. Lower FOV will have you making larger flicks, and higher FOV will make targets smaller and more difficult to see and lock on to. Also, some games dont even let you lower your sensitivity low enough if you use a high dpi, except some config tweaking. The best aimers play different games at different sensitivities, because lower sens is better for clicking and higher sens for tracking. cheat is aimware if anyone is wondering. Higher FOV creates the illusion of speed, that might be why it's popular but it's just my guess. I use 120. All the CS:GO models in that image appear fatter or thinner depending on the aspect ratios. Lowering FOV makes targets larger without seeming to move faster. Since consoles are Anything over 90 is probably good. Here are two things worth considering: Here are two things worth considering: Lower weight means smaller force inputs are required to generate the same acceleration of the mouse. Log In / Sign The best advice I was given from some of the best aimers in our community was, “If you think high sens is uncontrollable or you think low sens is muddy then you haven’t learned actual mouse control” Obviously there is an extreme to a high sens that is uncontrollable, but I’ve seen some 20cm/360 players have some of the cleanest target switching and smoothest tracking. Its actually feels pretty good and its worth a try. However, yesterday I changed my FOV from 95 to 110 while messing around in Training Mode w/bots and the smoothness of both the enemy movements and my aim in terms of tracking crazy strafes was noticeably better. i usually play bedwars, where most people set the limit from maybe 80-100. However, the casuals/amateurs do. Lower FOV makes things larger and easier to spot but less vision overall. . With a lower field of view, targets will appear closer and take up more space on the screen, making them easier to hit. But like others said, Overwatch 2 is a great middle ground and probably one of the best games outside of aim trainers to improve aim. I recommend trying 4:3 or 5:4 with 90 FoV, then you can lower FoV a bit if you still feel like it. I don't know if there are any other benefits that I don't know about, I just don't understand why basically EVERY pro is on This is it for me. In Overwatch aiming and hitting targets isn't as crucial as it is in games like CSGO where you can kill somebody solo in a matter of 400ms. And if shaiiko, ambi, and beaulo aren't your cup of tea, spoit runs high fov 16:9 last i remember. Like Apex, I’ll have the FOV on the maximum. only issue I could see is that it’s very easy to plateau at a sensitivity like that since it’s not much mouse control for say. New. Arlak_The_Recluse • There is a benefit, enemies are larger on your screen and are easier to hit. Pretty safe to guess that most are running 16:9 but we cant actually assume where their hfov will be. For hunt however, peripheral vision is important but maybe not as Tried a higher FOV and my ability to aim and control the gun went to shit. Longer range aiming feels much better as you can see details. You take a small hit to your aim but gain huge survivability instead. Better 50 fov aim doesn't matter when you're dead xD Plus you don't need to be super precise in wars anyway since half the time The "reduced" FOV doesnt feel like a nerf. but I’d also also, my thoughts after spending some time testing these stretched lower resolutions are it does feel a lot faster/snappier/more responsive, but at same time feels like less information on screen/harder to aim and fight if its not close quarters combat so to speak. Note, if you suffer from motion sickness, lowing bind mouse1 +attack2;+meta. I have a GTX 1070 + i7 6700k and 200 FPS Limit works for me. Until Bungie fixes it, your aim is better at 95 Reply reply More replies More replies [deleted] The most important thing about having low FOV is how difficult I makes it to track targets at close range. I think that's impossible, that is the job of scopes. a lot of people don't really register that FOV fundamentally changes how fast your crosshair is actually moving the projected sphere of a first person perspective; hence why being "zoomed in" in shooter games, you don't want a 1:1 360 distance sensitivity with Look up good form to get a better idea. People try to optimize everything in their PC for better FPS values, (usually this value is 103 HDeg 16:9 often known as the max Overwatch FOV) while aim training. I set my FOV to 85 (the lowest possible setting. It also means that the game can render fewer objects, so it can improve performance. Controversial. I struggle with many tracking scenarios as I run out of mousepad (I also have an XL mousepad) on things like close long strafes invincible and would have to pick up my mouse and reset which results in lower scores. Is higher FOV actually better? Why / why not? I know you get a bigger lateral vision but other than that there is any advantage? Because i dont think i need it.
